Last Thursday my french press and I had a throw down and the french press won. I ended up with 2nd degree burns on my chest and a blister from my armpit down and across one of my husbands favorite parts on my chest (he has two favorites), ahem. Yes, OUCH!!!
Now imagine a hug from your Mom or Grandma after a rough day, putting on your favorite cardigan on the first chilly day of the year, pulling your favorite book down from the shelf and it opens in your hand, the smell of hot cocoa, lavender essential oil. Yes, that does go there. I have used my trusty doTERRA Lavender oil for just about everything. Trouble going to sleep, wrinkles, cuts and scrapes, in peach smoothies, chapped lips, every time I misplace a knuckle or two on the cheese grater… If you keep only one essential oil in your cabinet, I think it should be lavender. Back to my grisly story, the very first thing I reached for was my bottle of doTERRA lavender oil. I applied that, ran cool water over the area for several minutes, then ran to the mirror to check the damage. It looked horrible, as in skin falling off, and it took me several minutes to realize there really wasn’t much pain at all. That is lavender oil. Natures pain reliever, it’s a potent analgesic, antifungal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antitoxic. Ah, did you catch that last word? That’s right. doTERRA lavender oil does all of those things and is completely nontoxic. Who knew something so simple, the basic thing many synthetic medications came from, could be so effective? Well, pretty much everyone before 100 or so years ago, but that’s for another post.
I’ve been treating my booboob *snicker* with doTERRA Lavender and Melaleuca (also a powerful anti-inflammatory and antiseptic) essential oils and I have been amazed by how fast things are healing and with almost no pain. I’m pretty sure I will be as good as new, albeit a few scars which I can also treat with essential oils, in a few days.
I welcome questions and if you’d like more info on these amazing oils, go here mydoterra.com/sarahfarrell
Please note, this post is not sponsored by anyone. I mention doTERRA over and over because I want to make clear that you cannot go down to the store and buy an essential oil for $7.99 and apply it to an open wound. Also, I’m not a doctor, I have no medical training, and this not an attempt to diagnose or treat anyone.
love it and I swear I smell lavender while i’m reading love that you are getting healed fast!
